Nationals score four in the eighth, hold off Angels 6-5
Washington turned a 4-2 deficit into a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth and survived a ninth-inning run.

Washington scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and beat Los Angeles 6-5 on Sunday at Nationals Park.
The Angels built the early lead on solo home runs to center field: Moisés Ballesteros in the fourth and Zach Neto in the fifth for a 2-0 edge. The Nationals tied it in the sixth on Yohandy Morales's single that scored CJ Abrams and Brady House's force-out grounder that scored Morales.
Los Angeles went ahead 4-2 in the top of the eighth, with Ballesteros's sacrifice fly scoring Wade Meckler. Washington answered with four run-scoring hits: Daylen Lile tripled to right to score Morales, Jorbit Vivas singled home Lile to tie it at 4, Jacob Young doubled to score Vivas, and Dylan Crews singled in Young for a 6-4 lead. Christian Moore's ninth-inning groundout scored Josh Lowe.
Erik Tolman earned the win despite an unearned run in his hitless inning, and Jack Sinclair recorded the save. Luke Murphy took the loss after allowing four runs on four hits in 1.0 inning.
Grayson Rodriguez started for the Angels and allowed two runs on seven hits with one walk and four strikeouts in 5.1 innings. Riley Cornelio opened for Washington with 2.0 innings, allowing one hit, before Jake Irvin worked 5.0 innings, allowing three runs on two hits with four walks and six strikeouts.
Morales, Abrams, Lile and James Wood each had two hits for Washington, which finished with 13. Ballesteros drove in two runs for the Angels. Attendance was 20,761.
