Rays pile up 15 hits and four homers, rout Astros 14-4
Tampa Bay led 11-0 before Houston scored, and Freddy Peralta did not allow a hit in five innings.

Tampa Bay led 11-0 after five innings and beat Houston 14-4 on Sunday at Tropicana Field.
Victor Mesa Jr. tripled to right in the first to score Yandy Díaz and Junior Caminero, and Chandler Simpson's groundout scored Mesa for a 3-0 lead. In the third, Jonny DeLuca reached on a fielding error by shortstop Jeremy Peña that let Mesa score, and Richie Palacios followed with a three-run homer to right for 7-0. Jonathan Aranda homered to left in the fourth, Simpson singled home Mesa, and Nick Fortes's two-run homer in the fifth made it 11-0.
Isaac Paredes's two-run homer in the sixth got Houston on the board. Díaz singled in Palacios in the seventh, and Aranda's second homer of the day, a two-run shot to right center, made it 14-2. Nick Allen and Nelson Velázquez hit solo homers in the eighth.
Freddy Peralta earned the win with 5.0 hitless innings, three walks and four strikeouts. Hayden Wesneski took the loss, charged with seven runs, three earned, on six hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 3.0 innings.
Aranda finished 2-for-4 with two homers and three RBI. Mesa was 3-for-5 with three runs scored, Palacios 2-for-4 with three RBI, and Díaz and Nick Madrigal each had two hits. The Rays finished with 15 hits. Houston had four hits, three of them home runs, and struck out seven times. Attendance was 18,718.
