Brewers bury Reds 20-0 behind 23 hits and four homers
William Contreras drove in six, Garrett Mitchell hit a grand slam in an eight-run fifth, and Dustin May and Garrett Stallings combined on a two-hitter.

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds 20-0 on Friday night at American Family Field, collecting 23 hits while holding Cincinnati to two.
Milwaukee scored twice in the first on a William Contreras sacrifice fly and an Andrew Vaughn double. The second inning produced six runs: Jackson Chourio's ground-rule double scored Cooper Pratt, Brice Turang hit a three-run homer to right-center, and Jake Bauers followed with a two-run homer to center for an 8-0 lead. Bauers singled home Turang in the fourth.
The fifth was an eight-run inning. Chourio singled in Garrett Mitchell, Turang doubled home Joey Ortiz, Contreras singled to score Chourio and David Hamilton, and Mitchell hit a grand slam to center for a 17-0 lead. Contreras added a three-run homer to left in the eighth.
Dustin May earned the win with six scoreless innings, allowing two hits with one walk and six strikeouts. Garrett Stallings pitched three hitless innings for the save. Andrew Abbott took the loss, giving up eight runs, seven earned, on nine hits in two innings with no walks and no strikeouts. Luis Mey was charged with eight runs in one inning of relief.
Contreras finished with six RBIs. Chourio went 4 for 6 with two doubles and three runs, Ortiz was 4 for 5, Turang went 3 for 3 with four RBIs, and Mitchell was 3 for 5 with four RBIs. Sal Stewart had both Cincinnati hits. Attendance was 41,879.
