Kyle Tucker's grand slam in the seventh inning turned a one-run game into a 6-2 win for the Los Angeles Dodgers over the Miami Marlins on Friday night at loanDepot park.
Tucker's sacrifice fly scored Tommy Edman in the top of the third for the game's first run. Will Smith singled home Tucker in the sixth to make it 2-0, and Miami answered in the bottom of the inning when Agustín Ramírez doubled to center to score Javier Sanoja.
In the seventh, Tucker hit a grand slam to right-center that scored Edman, Max Muncy and Mookie Betts for a 6-1 lead. Owen Caissie's sacrifice fly scored Sanoja in the eighth for Miami's second run.
Blake Snell earned the win, allowing one run on four hits with two walks and eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings. Ryan Gusto took the loss, giving up two runs on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts in six innings. Miami reliever Victor Vodnik was charged with three runs in two-thirds of an inning, and Cade Gibson allowed the grand slam.
Tucker went 3 for 3 with a homer, a triple and five RBIs. Muncy had three hits and Edman walked twice and scored twice. For Miami, Otto Lopez went 4 for 5 and Sanoja was 2 for 4 with a triple, two runs and a stolen base. The Marlins had 10 hits but struck out 11 times. Attendance was 29,370.
