Butler's second homer walks off Mariners as Athletics win 8-7
Seattle led 6-2 through six and 7-6 in the ninth before Lawrence Butler's two-run shot to right center ended it.

Lawrence Butler's two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth gave the Athletics an 8-7 win over Seattle on Sunday at Sutter Health Park.
The Athletics opened with solo homers by Zack Gelof and Butler in the first. Randy Arozarena tied it in the third with a two-run homer to left that scored Jhonny Pereda, and the Mariners scored three in the fourth on Pereda's sacrifice fly, a J.P. Crawford single that scored Michael Arroyo, and an Arozarena single that scored Weston Wilson. Pereda's bases-loaded walk in the fifth made it 6-2.
In the seventh, Gelof walked with the bases loaded to score Alika Williams, Butler's groundout scored Henry Bolte, and Shea Langeliers singled to score Jeff McNeil and Gelof. Arozarena's solo homer to left in the eighth put Seattle back ahead 7-6. In the ninth, Butler homered to right center with Gelof on base.
Elvis Alvarado earned the win with a scoreless inning. Andrés Muñoz took the loss, allowing two runs on two hits while recording two outs.
Bryce Miller started for Seattle and allowed two runs on two hits with five walks and five strikeouts in 5.0 innings. Jacob Lopez went 3.2 innings for the Athletics, allowing five runs on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts.
Arozarena finished 3-for-5 with two homers and four RBI, and Pereda had two hits and two RBI. Butler went 2-for-4 with two homers and four RBI, and Gelof scored three times. Attendance was 9,171.
