Walton's two-run homer in the 10th gives Athletics 6-5 win over Mariners
Seattle went ahead in the top of the 10th on Julio Rodríguez's single, and Donovan Walton answered with a homer to right to end it.

Donovan Walton's two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning gave the Athletics a 6-5 win over the Seattle Mariners on Friday night at Sutter Health Park.
Seattle scored first when Cal Raleigh's force out brought home Randy Arozarena in the top of the first. The Athletics took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the inning on Jeff McNeil's double that scored Henry Bolte and Max Muncy's single that scored McNeil. Weston Wilson's force out scored Josh Naylor in the second to tie it, and Lawrence Butler's two-run homer to right in the third put the Athletics up 4-2.
Lazaro Montes tied it in the sixth with a two-run homer to right-center that scored Naylor. Neither team scored again until the 10th, when Rodríguez singled home Arozarena for a 5-4 Seattle lead. Walton then homered to right off Eduard Bazardo with Michael Stefanic aboard.
Chris Roycroft earned the win. Bazardo took the loss without recording an out. Mariners starter George Kirby pitched six innings, allowing four runs on nine hits with two walks and five strikeouts. Jeffrey Springs went five innings for the Athletics and gave up two runs on six hits with two walks and one strikeout.
Butler went 3 for 5 with a homer, a double and two RBIs, and Walton was 3 for 5 with two RBIs. McNeil had two hits and scored twice. For Seattle, J.P. Crawford, Dominic Canzone and Naylor each had two hits, and Montes drove in two. Attendance was 8,682.
