No. 2 Georgia beat Western Kentucky 70-20 on Saturday at Sanford Stadium in Athens.
Gunner Stockton threw first-quarter touchdown passes of 7 yards to Ethan Barbour at 13:59 and 21 yards to Chauncey Bowens at 7:37, with Nate Frazier's 7-yard run at 11:28 between them. Stockton added scoring passes of 3 yards to London Humphreys, 70 yards to Sacovie White-Helton, and 5 yards to Talyn Taylor in the second quarter, and Landon Roldan's 9-yard run at 5:51 made it 49-0. Brock Glenn's 15-yard run with 1:14 left in the half got Western Kentucky on the board; the extra point failed.
Ryan Puglisi ran 70 yards for a score at 14:04 of the third, and Tyriq Green returned an interception for a touchdown at 4:17 to make it 63-6. Glenn ran in from 10 yards at 5:10 of the fourth, Green answered with a 91-yard kickoff return at 4:57, and Glenn's 7-yard pass to Coleson Arends at 1:17 set the final.
Stockton finished 13 of 16 for 234 yards and five touchdowns. Puglisi had 79 yards on 2 carries. Glenn was 12 of 23 for 84 yards and ran 13 times for 70 yards and two scores. Western Kentucky turned the ball over four times; Georgia had 493 total yards and 234 on the ground. Attendance was 93,033.
