Michigan beat No. 11 Oklahoma 17-10 on Saturday at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.
Bryce Underwood's 38-yard run with 0:47 left in the first quarter gave Michigan a 7-0 lead, and Trey Butkowski's 40-yard field goal at 2:28 of the second made it 10-0 at halftime. Oklahoma's first points came at 8:30 of the third quarter on John Mateer's 22-yard pass to Mackenzie Alleyne, and Tate Sandell's 34-yard field goal at 11:49 of the fourth tied it at 10.
Michigan answered with Jordan Marshall's 1-yard run at 7:53, and the Sooners did not score again.
Underwood threw for 111 yards on 9 of 17 passing and ran 18 times for 87 yards and a touchdown. Michigan rushed for 152 yards on 41 attempts and held the ball for 33:17 without a turnover. Mateer was 17 of 33 for 189 yards with a touchdown and an interception and led Oklahoma in rushing with 45 yards on 13 carries; Rocky Beers caught 6 passes for 94 yards. Oklahoma finished with 289 total yards, turned it over twice, and converted 3 of 13 third downs. Michigan was penalized 11 times for 90 yards, Oklahoma 9 times for 76. Attendance was 111,240.
