No. 13 Texas Tech beat Oregon State 35-24 on Saturday night at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, taking the lead for good with 6:31 to play.
The first quarter was scoreless. Thomas Castellanos' 7-yard run at 7:35 of the second put Texas Tech ahead, and Braden Atkinson answered at 7:25 with a 75-yard pass to Jesse Legree. Cameron Dickey's 1-yard run at 3:01 sent the Red Raiders to halftime up 14-7.
Atkinson caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from AJ Newberry at 11:17 of the third, and a two-point run made it 14-13. J'Koby Williams ran 38 yards for a score at 8:05, and Atkinson's 37-yard pass to Legree at 4:55, followed by Atkinson's own two-point run, tied it at 21. Caleb Ojeda's 34-yard field goal at 13:23 of the fourth gave Oregon State a 24-21 lead.

Atkinson threw for 413 yards on 31 of 51 passing with two touchdowns and an interception; Legree caught 8 passes for 240 yards and two scores. Oregon State totaled 472 yards but converted 4 of 15 third downs. Hammond was 20 of 27 for 189 yards, Eakin caught 6 passes for 79 yards, and Williams ran 20 times for 116 yards as Texas Tech rushed for 155. Attendance was 30,539.
