Colorado beat Weber State 52-21 on Saturday at Folsom Field in Boulder.
Julian Lewis threw touchdown passes of 66 yards to DeAndre Moore Jr. at 14:25 of the first quarter and 63 yards to Joseph Williams at 11:54. Nate Dahle's 13-yard pass to Robert Young at 7:07 answered for Weber State, and Lewis hit Ernest Campbell from 48 yards at 4:52 for a 21-7 lead. Micah Welch ran 55 yards at 14:50 of the second, Dahle found Noah Kjar from 6 yards at 12:11, and Lewis threw 32 yards to Williams at 7:38 and ran in from 3 yards with 0:51 left for a 42-14 halftime lead.
Elliot Arnold's 52-yard field goal at 8:09 of the third and Kaneal Sweetwyne's 9-yard run at 11:35 of the fourth extended it. Dahle's 12-yard pass to Kjar at 7:42 was the last score.
Lewis completed 17 of 23 passes for 366 yards and four touchdowns; Williams caught 4 passes for 123 yards and two scores, and Welch ran 11 times for 106 yards. Colorado totaled 578 yards, 398 through the air, while being penalized 13 times for 107 yards. Dahle threw 48 passes and completed 20 for 244 yards with three touchdowns and an interception; Kjar caught 7 for 121 yards. Attendance was 49,363.
