TCU beat Grambling 63-7 on Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth.
Major Everhart's 8-yard run put the Horned Frogs up 7-0 with 12:21 left in the first quarter. Jon Denman's 1-yard run at 10:53 of the second and Jaden Craig's 9-yard pass to Ka'Morreun Pimpton at 8:26 made it 21-0. Grambling's only score came with 4:25 left in the half, Reginald Johnson hitting Byron Eaton Jr. from 7 yards to make it 21-7, and Joe Pitchford's 1-yard run at 1:48 sent TCU to the break ahead 28-7.
Craig threw to Kari Ashley from 29 yards at 9:23 of the third and to Jeremy Scott from 52 yards at 2:20 for a 42-7 lead. Ashley's 15-yard catch at 12:23 of the fourth, a 67-yard interception return by Teon Parks at 9:52 and Amante Martin's 10-yard run at 3:24 closed it at 63-7.
Craig finished 24 of 31 for 391 yards and four touchdowns. Ashley caught 7 passes for 119 yards and two scores, and Jeremy Payne ran 9 times for 79 yards. Johnson was 14 of 20 for 190 yards for Grambling; Jordan Bride had 4 catches for 79 yards. TCU totaled 676 yards, 285 of them rushing, and had 33 first downs. Grambling managed 210 yards, 20 on the ground, converted 1 of 14 third downs and turned the ball over twice. Attendance was 37,600.
