No. 24 Louisville scored in every quarter and beat Villanova 59-13 on Friday at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium.
Carson Hilbert's 33-yard field goal at 12:16 of the first quarter and Dominic LeBlanc's 35-yarder at 6:24 had it tied at 3. Lincoln Kienholz ran in from 19 yards at 4:33 and threw 69 yards to Jaleel Skinner with 0:14 left for a 17-3 lead. Pat McQuaide's 65-yard pass to Ja'briel Mace at 14:50 of the second brought Villanova within 17-10, but Kienholz answered with a 61-yard throw to Lawayne McCoy at 13:24 and a 4-yard run at 1:53 for a 31-10 halftime lead.
A 15-yard run by Braxton Jennings at 7:50 of the third made it 38-10, and LeBlanc's 29-yard field goal at 3:42 was Villanova's last score. Marquise Davis ran in from 3 yards with 0:07 left in the third, Davin Wydner threw 2 yards to Jennings at 12:36 of the fourth, and Davis added a 4-yard run at 7:04 for the final margin.
Kienholz finished 16 of 21 for 332 yards and two touchdowns. McCoy caught 3 passes for 102 yards, and Davis ran 7 times for 86 yards and two scores. Louisville totaled 635 yards, 260 of them rushing, with 29 first downs and no turnovers. McQuaide was 18 of 31 for 166 yards for Villanova, which finished with 253 yards and converted 4 of 14 third downs. Attendance was 46,385.
