Michigan State beat Eastern Michigan 35-7 on Saturday at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing.
Alessio Milivojevic's 18-yard pass to Fredrick Moore at 6:32 of the first quarter and a 1-yard Cam Edwards run at 8:45 of the second put the Spartans up 14-0. Noah Kim's 4-yard run with 1:50 left in the half made it 14-7. Edwards scored again from 2 yards at 8:50 of the third, Milivojevic hit Charles Taplin from 38 yards at 5:46 for a 28-7 lead, and Jaziun Patterson's 7-yard run at 7:48 of the fourth closed the scoring.
Edwards carried 21 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Milivojevic was 12 of 20 for 170 yards and two scores; Taplin caught 3 passes for 65 yards. Eli Coenen had two sacks. Kim completed 16 of 26 for 118 yards for Eastern Michigan, Harold Mack caught 5 for 49 yards, and Braydon Bennett ran 9 times for 56 yards.
Michigan State finished with 472 total yards, 258 of them rushing on 45 attempts, converted 10 of 15 third downs and was 3 for 3 on fourth down. Eastern Michigan gained 219 yards and was 6 of 13 on third down. Each team lost one fumble. Attendance was 70,712.
