Nebraska beat Bowling Green 56-7 on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, with Anthony Colandrea throwing four touchdown passes before halftime.
Colandrea hit Jacory Barney Jr. from 35 yards at 7:34 of the first quarter and Kwazi Gilmer from 12 yards at 0:32. Gilmer's 4-yard catch at 8:36 of the second, Jamal Rule's 59-yard run at 5:16 and a 32-yard Barney catch at 1:54 made it 35-0 at halftime. Neither team scored in the third quarter. Jay Kastantin's 19-yard pass to Leo Kemp at 14:53 of the fourth got Bowling Green on the board, and Nebraska answered with Isaiah Mozee's 7-yard run at 10:30, a 25-yard fumble recovery by Derek Wacker at 9:29 and TJ Lateef's 6-yard pass to Kwinten Ives at 1:18.
Colandrea completed 20 of 24 for 222 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. Barney caught 8 passes for 115 yards, and Rule ran 8 times for 88 yards. Nebraska totaled 546 yards, 264 of them rushing, with 28 first downs, and converted 5 of 8 third downs. Kastantin was 10 of 16 for 84 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Bowling Green; Nakai Amachree ran 13 times for 53 yards.
