Knight carried 13 times for 97 yards and three touchdowns. Nico Iamaleava was 14 of 22 for 151 yards with an interception, and Semaj Morgan caught 6 passes for 73 yards. UCLA ran 43 times for 214 yards, totaled 365 and held the ball for 34:55, converting 4 of 11 third downs.
Denegal completed 6 of 17 passes for 45 yards with a touchdown and an interception for San Diego State. Lucky Sutton ran 19 times for 81 yards. The Aztecs gained 189 total yards, 144 of them rushing, and converted 2 of 12 third downs. Each team committed one turnover. Attendance was 31,976.
