North Texas routs UNLV 44-6 as the Rebels turn it over four times
Tayven Jackson threw two touchdowns and ran for another, and UNLV managed only two Ramon Villela field goals at DATCU Stadium.

North Texas beat UNLV 44-6 on Saturday at DATCU Stadium. The Rebels lost three fumbles, threw an interception and never reached the end zone.
Dominic De Freitas kicked field goals of 35 yards at 10:48 and 27 yards at 6:27 of the first quarter, and Tayven Jackson threw 32 yards to Jahiem White at 3:51 for a 13-0 lead. Ramon Villela's 39-yard field goal at 5:38 of the second got UNLV on the board; Jackson's 3-yard run at 1:56 made it 20-3 at halftime.
White scored on a 5-yard run at 12:32 of the third, Villela hit from 37 yards at 10:45, and Chris Jimerson Jr. threw 16 yards to Max Reese at 5:39 for a 34-6 lead. Brendon Haygood's 9-yard run at 8:24 of the fourth and De Freitas' 41-yard field goal at 1:12 finished it.
Jackson was 15 of 26 for 233 yards and two touchdowns. White ran 12 times for 124 yards, and Corri Milliner caught three passes for 65 yards. North Texas totaled 444 yards and did not turn the ball over. Jackson Arnold went 18 of 27 for 194 yards for UNLV, which finished with 301 yards and 98 on the ground. David Onuoha had 1.5 sacks for the Mean Green. Attendance was 20,331.
