Wyoming beat Northern Colorado 21-13 on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium, scoring two touchdowns in the last 3:44 after trailing 13-7.
The first quarter was scoreless. Samuel Harris' 4-yard run at 7:19 of the second put Wyoming up 7-0. Landon Richardson kicked a 45-yard field goal at 2:00, and Kenny Lueth threw 45 yards to Marcus Mozer at 0:25 for a 10-7 Northern Colorado halftime lead. Richardson's 35-yard field goal at 7:59 of the third made it 13-7.
Tyler Hughes threw 15 yards to Charlie Coenen at 3:44 of the fourth to put Wyoming ahead 14-13, then found Kyle Frendt from 18 yards at 1:44.
Hughes finished 18 of 26 for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Markell Holman ran 11 times for 80 yards, and Wyoming totaled 304 yards. Lueth was 13 of 23 for 202 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions; Mozer caught three passes for 72 yards, and Justin Guin ran 17 times for 88. Northern Colorado finished with 345 yards and held the ball for 31:07. Each team turned the ball over twice, the Bears on two interceptions and the Cowboys on two lost fumbles. Attendance was 24,105.
