Samer Layous kicked field goals of 41 yards at 9:18 of the first quarter and 27 yards at 1:28, around Daniel Kinney's 29-yarder for Kennesaw State at 6:28, for a 6-3 lead. Cameran Brown's 18-yard run at 12:02 of the second, with a two-point pass from Ayden Pereira to Wesley Campbell VI, made it 14-3, and Lanear McCrary Jr. scored from 1 yard with 0:40 left in the half for a 21-3 lead.

Dennis Murray Jr.'s 12-yard run at 4:42 of the third pushed it to 28-3. Rickie Collins ran 12 yards at 0:53 and threw the two-point conversion to Brayden Munroe to make it 28-11. Layous kicked a 43-yard field goal at 9:15 of the fourth, and Collins's 3-yard pass to Jamari Harrold at 1:56 was the final score; the two-point pass failed.

Brown was 16 of 23 for 253 yards with an interception and ran for the game's first touchdown. McCrary carried 19 times for 101 yards. Collins finished 22 of 35 for 260 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Owls, and added 46 rushing yards and a score on 10 carries; Javon Rogers caught three passes for 74 yards. Georgia State totaled 483 yards to Kennesaw State's 332 and converted 6 of 13 third downs to the Owls' 2 of 9. Attendance was 11,040.
