Cam Skattebo opened the scoring with a 3-yard run at 6:40 of the first quarter. Dallas tied it when Dak Prescott hit CeeDee Lamb from a yard out with 5:44 left in the second, but Jaxson Dart answered with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Likely with 20 seconds remaining in the half for a 14-7 lead.
Dart and Likely connected again from 2 yards out at 6:59 of the third quarter. Javonte Williams' 1-yard run with 37 seconds left in the period pulled Dallas within 21-14. Dart's third touchdown pass, 9 yards to Devin Singletary with 7:26 to play, made it 28-14. Prescott found Williams for a 17-yard score at 5:21, but the extra point failed and the Cowboys got no closer.
Dart finished 23 of 29 for 230 yards and three touchdowns. Likely caught 8 passes for 78 yards and two scores; Skattebo carried 18 times for 81 yards. Prescott was 22 of 34 for 175 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, and Lamb had 5 catches for 44 yards.
New York converted 9 of 11 third downs, ran 68 plays to Dallas' 52, and outgained the Cowboys 394 to 244 while holding possession for 36:40. Each team lost one turnover. Attendance was 83,286.
